TikTok eCommerce features for Shopify stores

TikTok has rolled out a full ecommerce stack — TikTok Shop, in-app checkout, product tagging. Here’s what South African Shopify stores can use right now.

TikTok went from short-form video app to ecommerce platform faster than anyone predicted. Their partnership with Shopify means you can now sell directly from TikTok with products synced live from your store.

  • TikTok Shop — full storefront inside the TikTok app, products synced from Shopify
  • Live shopping — pin products during live streams for in-stream purchase
  • Product tagging — tag products in regular videos with shoppable links

Is it right for your brand?

TikTok works best for visual, impulse-buy products under R500 — fashion, beauty, accessories, gadgets, food. It’s less effective for high-ticket items, B2B or technical products.
